We have been brainstorming with our team about how we can overcome this situation and still fulfill the purpose of ARCC. Our team has been very enthusiastic. The Academic Co-ordinator (AC), had a session with all the staff about how we could make learning possible despite this lock down. Our Field Co-ordinator (FC) connected with all the students and motivated them and instilled in them a passion to continue learning despite the situation. Online Learning The different teaching staff have framed a syllabus, the dates on which the classes will be conducted in the given situation, and the timing. We have asked them to try different methods and see which one is the most effective. One of the ways is through making videos of the topic for the class and posting it ahead of time, giving the students a few minutes to watch and understand the video and then do a conference call connecting all the students and clear their doubts. Each of the courses have a whatsapp Group, comprised of the students, teacher, AC, FC. Some of the challenges they have faced right now, is about 20% of the students is out of network coverage area, and some don’t have smart phones. We have identified some of the very poor students and our FC is doing online recharges for their phones after doing a research on the quantity of data package required for them for studies and the best offers available, so that they can continue learning unhindred
