In February, 2 interns from the American College in Madurai from the department of Social Work
joined ARCC for an internship for 1 month. It has been a win-win situation for both the students and
ARCC did case studies on why the students tend to drop out of their courses and they did some training
programs in villages. They also did counseling for students to encourage them to join studies in different villages and they also went to different hamlets with our Field Coordinator (FC) Alvin and explained to them the
importance of skill education and how it would help in life. They also had some brainstorming sessions with the
staff on how they could encourage the students more. They were volunteering in many of the GWS meetings as
well and they cooperated with us in an excellent way
